Frequently Asked Questions

What time will the classes start?

It depends on the number of entries. There will be updated whiteboards next to the main rings this year with more information on the day.

Will the show be cancelled if it is raining?

It is very unlikely unless the showground is flooded. Updates will be posted on this website and on Facebook.

Will my classes clash?

Enter both. If they do and you are unable to do both, we will give you a refund or transfer your entry to another class.

What is the best way to enter for the classes?

Once the schedule is ready you will be able to enter online. Entries will be accepted on the day if class sizes allow.

What is the best way into the showground?

Take the turning to Tackley off the A4260 opposite Sturdy’s Castle pub and garage and follow the signs. Please do not approach from Enslow/Bunkers Hill — it is only a single-track road and you will find yourself going against oncoming horse boxes with limited passing places.

Can I buy food and drinks?

There are bacon rolls, hot dogs, a selection of burgers, cheese rolls, snacks and hot and cold drinks served throughout the day from the Show Kitchen. There is also a licensed bar.

How do I get involved?

We are always looking for more volunteers to help on the day in the showground or in the Show Kitchen. For more details email tackleyhorseshow@gmail.com.

How do I become a sponsor?

The show is supported by a loyal band of commercial sponsors serving the local community. These generous supporters ensure that our costs are covered and all the money we make on the day can be distributed to the organisations and charities we support. While we have a limited number of sponsorships available we are always keen to hear from new potential sponsors who would be keen to step in when gaps appear. For more details email tackleyhorseshow@gmail.com.

Who is the photographer?
